I have taken great care in applying multiple top coats of Spar Urethane to your coastal wildlife art piece. Spar Urethane will not yellow and contains UV inhibitors. I do suggest that the item be displayed where there’s some protection from direct rain or moisture. Example being on a wall under the eve of the roof line.
I continue to add new items that depict the wildlife of the seashore and low country of South Carolina. The low country is home to egrets, alligators, dolphins, seahorses, grouper and many other wildlife. If you have a wish for coastal wall art that is not displayed, please contact me to discuss the possibilities.
In the event a specific item, such as the alligator, egret, mermaid, seahorse etc. is not in inventory please allow 5-7 business days to craft and ship your item.
Cedar has a great variety of color ranges from whites to tans and browns. The grain is mainly straight and features small tight knits. Cedar wood is more dimensionally stable in high humidity climate than most other woods. It is naturally resistant against insects and decay. I take this into consideration as I select the lumber for the coastal wildlife item to be made. As I layout the wood I try to select the wood that has the grain and color that best suits the coastal wildlife animal I am making. I manipulate the wood grain and colors to best reflect the alligator, egret, crab, grouper, seahorse etc. This gives each coastal wall art it’s uniqueness. While all mermaids, egrets, alligators, groupers etc. are similar they are not identical.
